1:1 Training

Whether you have a new puppy or a training issue with an older dog or a new rescue, such as pulling on the lead, recall, obedience, relationship building or general manners, a 1:1 session is focused purely on your needs and requirements.

We will arm you with the knowledge you need to communicate effectively with your dog and improve your future training journey, ensuring a plan is in place to guide you along the way.

If life is hectic and you are unable to join up to our weekly classes or packages, then this option allows you to book a session as and when you have free time.

The majority of our 1:1 sessions are held at our Exercise & Training Facility in Kinver, however, depending on the issue, we may suggest subsequent sessions are held in other locations locally.

Neutrality & Obedience Sessions

No judgement! No egos!

Just like-minded people wanting to train their dogs around distractions safely. â€‹â€‹

Our new-look neutrality & obedience sessions are designed to

help your canine companion stay calm and composed around various distractions, such as people, other dogs, bikes, loud noises, drones and more. This is essential for ensuring that your dog can handle real-world scenarios without becoming anxious or reactive.

Our structured 1 hour classes are conducted in our nearly two acre field, providing a controlled environment for your dog's learning and ample space for each participant.

All exercises are conducted with your dog on lead, unless instructed otherwise, which is crucial for maintaining control and ensuring safety.

Alongside neutrality, we will work on core obedience skills which are important for everyday life, including sit and down stays, loose lead walking around distractions, handler engagement, play skills and communication.

These sessions will also increase your confidence as a handler and enhance the relationship between you and your dog.

Please note, if your dog is reactive, you will need to book in for a 1:1 training session prior to joining our neutrality & obedience classes.

Suitable for dogs over 6 months.

All abilities are welcome as we will adjust exercises to suit your dog's ability.

Access to our active neutrality & obedience Whatsapp group for continued support.

Training Walks

Are you a dog owner returning to work or have other commitments preventing you from walking the dog as much as you would like?

Does your dog struggle with certain behaviours which prevent them from joining group dog walks or our Kinver K9 Club?

Our training walks may be just the answer!

Our training walks are specialized one-hour sessions designed to address specific issues your dog may be experiencing when out on walks. These walks are conducted by professional trainers who focus on behaviours such as:

  • Pulling on the lead

  • Biting the lead

  • Lunging and barking at other dogs, bikes, or cars

  • Building confidence

  • Basic obedience

  • Recall

We begin with an initial FREE consultation to understand the specific issues you and your dog are facing. This helps us tailor the training walks to your dog's needs. We can then provide regular weekly walks that focus on exercise and addressing those issues. We will provide ongoing updates to keep you informed on your dog's progress and the strategies we're using to tackle their issues.

We ask for commitment to at least one regular, pre-scheduled walk per week.

Your involvement is crucial for the success of the training walks.

As dogs learn from repetition and thrive on structure and routine, we ask that you reinforce the training techniques during your own walks with your dog. This ensures consistency and helps your dog learn more effectively.

*Clients and their dogs will be invited to join one of our neutrality & obedience classes per month, free of charge. This will allow us to help you with any handling issues and give you a chance to practice your training around distractions but with a trainer present.

Remember, there are no "one walk wonders" or magic wands. Achieving behavioural improvement takes time, patience, and consistent effort from both the trainer and the owner. By working together, we can help your dog become a well-behaved and confident companion during their walks.

UK Dog Sport encompasses obedience, search and agility exercises.

There are 6 levels to work through:

FOUNDATION, BEGINNER, NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED, EXPERT

As competitors progress, the levels become more challenging and give those who want to continue to improve, something to aim for.

There is no requirement to move on and participants may remain working one level for as long as they wish.

At its most basic levels, exercises allow for dogs to be worked on the lead and encouraged with food or toys. and yet the top level is set at a standard equal to the highest level of competition.
